Our thoughts on Australia Day

When we arrived in Australia, in December 2001 from Switzerland, we had no idea what to expect. We just knew that we were looking for a new challenge in life.

What we found was the beauty of Melbourne, a place of momentum and celebration – Australian Open, Food Festivals, Formula 1, Backyard Barbies, Footy, Spring Racing Carnival, ANZAC Day, Christmas-Day by 40C at the beach (of course wearing a Santa hat)…

You see, we both grew up in Switzerland. If you can imagine those traditional snow-topped houses, cows with large bells coming down the mountain and the sound of Alphorns, we always dreamt of living by the ocean and that’s what we are doing now.

We found a great community and social network knowing they are privileged to live here in Australia.

Please take the time to be grateful this Australia Day. We encourage you to  go outside and look at this beautiful country, as this land is unique. Of course there are things that should not be happening but as a whole, Australia is a pretty great country! Isn’t it?

Notice and reflect on the abundance and opportunities that this country provides and be filled with gratitude for the people that build this country with hard work, tears, passion and love.

Feel the history, enjoy the beauty of this great country and spend quality time with the Australian people & friends that come form far and wide.
